We are a long way from 1775! The Paul Revere approach to inform consumers of food contamination is a little dated and not effective.
Two new food recalls just hit the press! Bell Evans Gluten Free Chicken Nuggets for Staph and Shenandoah Farms Cilantro for Salmonella. I just happened to be watching the news when the segment on the recalls was reported.
Here's my question... What are the chances that people who bought these products will catch the recall news? This reminds us that little progress (no, wait...NO progress) has been made in communication since the Peanut Corporation recall five years ago.
Companies are still screaming recalls from rooftops and hoping that consumers happen to be listening. There must be a better way!
